Baking for a Brighter Tomorrow
About Me
My name is Ishta H Keerthi
Hi, I’m Ishta! I’m a high school student with a passion for baking and a commitment to using my skills to help others.
My love for baking began when my parents surprised me with a stand mixer for my 13th birthday. What started as experimenting with simple recipes soon turned into something much more meaningful. My journey with Baking for Impact truly took shape when I baked treats for a school for the blind. Seeing their joy and excitement showed me how powerful sharing food can be, and it inspired me to use baking to make a difference in people’s lives.
While baking is a big part of who I am, I’m also dedicated to serving my community in other ways. I lead my school’s Baking Club, where we teach students how to bake and organize volunteer projects. As a member of the Camathon Executive Board, I help coordinate large events to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. In my role as Vice President for Eyes for Humanity, I work to promote eye health and support vision-related initiatives.
Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of leadership, teamwork, and giving back. I’m also honored to have received the Gold Level Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing over 100 hours of community service.
Ready to learn how you can get involved and bake a difference!
